Presentation of the association Roses Anciennes en France



Roses anciennes en France is a non-profit organization under the French law of 1901. It is recognised as being of general interest. Its purpose is to promote the knowledge, the culture and the preservation of heritage roses.

The association was created in 1995 in Lyon (France) by Mme Odile MASQUELIER, emblematic figure from the world of heritage roses. She was the President-Founder of our association and was surrounded by several reknown personalities from the world of heritage roses: Mme Eléonore CRUSE, Mme Barbara TCHERTOFF, Mme Françoise KAUSS, Mr André EVE, Mr François JOYAUX, Mr Paul LEFEBVRE, Mr Daniel LEMONNIER, Mr Jean-Claude NICOLAS, Mr Derrick WORSDALE.

The association has more than 250 members from all over the world and from all origins. They all meet every year, before June 30, during the General Assembly.

The Board of Directors is composed of a maximum of 30 members who are elected for 3 years. They meet at least 3 times a year to work and discuss future projects.

The association Roses anciennes en France is recognized by the Rhone Tax Services Department as being of general interest. The payments made to its benefit, be it donations or contributions, entitle the holder to a reduction in French taxes. A receipt is issued by the treasurer of the association attesting the amount and date of payments.
